32. US President Franklin D Roosevelt

President Franklin Delano Roosevelt served as President longer than any other — for a total of 13 years, from 1933 until 1945. He appears on the American dime coin.

FDR, as he was often nicknamed, was related — by blood or through marriage — to 11 previous presidents: John Adams, John Quincy Adams, James Madison, Martin Van Buren, William Henry Harrison, Benjamin Harrison, Taft, Taylor, Grant, and, of course, Theodore “Teddy” Roosevelt.

35. US President John F Kennedy

John “Jack” Fitzgerald Kennedy won a seat in the House of Representatives when he was just 29, and he was the youngest person to be elected president. (Teddy Roosevelt served as president at a slightly younger age, but he had not been elected.) JFK was awarded the Purple Heart for being wounded during World War II. President Kennedy, who was assassinated in 1963 during his presidency, also appears on the American 50-cent piece/half dollar coin.
