The life and legacy of St. Patrick
Saint Patrick was a Roman-British Christian missionary and bishop in Ireland during the fifth century. Despite being born in Britain, he was kidnapped and brought to Ireland as a slave when he was just a teenager.
After managing to escape, he made his way back to Ireland with a mission to spread Christianity across the land. He famously used the shamrock, a plant with three leaves, to teach people about the Holy Trinity.
